Our Large herbs are excellent for those who love to cook. The kitchen essential pack of 5 large herbs gives you the key herbs for the kitchen in one package for a reasonable price.
We find that it is vital to have a good stock of herbs in the kitchen that are ready to be used as and when you need them and these large jars of 7oz give just that.
They also allow with the wide neck of the jar the ability to just grab what you need without getting additional moisture when cooking. 0 The five pack contains the following herbs ( though this may change depending on season):
There are over 100 species of Thyme. Used extensively in Ancient Greece, this herb may well have been employed in the Mediterranean region even earlier. It is one of the great culinary herbs of European cookery.
Basil is one of the most important herbs when cooking and enjoying food. The Greek name for Basil is ‘King’ which shows how highly regarded the King of Herbs is. Basil goes with almost any food, though it is especially good when used with Tomatoes.
Oregano is the wild variety of Marjoram and has a more potent flavour. The more robust flavour of Oregano is the quintessential pizza flavouring and is a favourite’s herb in Greece. Dried oregano retains its original flavour well and is good when used in soups, strews and sauces, partially those with a tomato base.
The great number of varieties of Mint make it a perfect accompaniment to both sweet and savoury dishes. Recognised by its strong aroma, mint accompanies parsley, coriander and basil. This mint is excellent as either a Tea, in soups, salads and can liven sauces, meats and fish. It is excellent in sweet dishes and chocolate as well as lemon based desserts.
